Panasonic Combo vs. Combo2

Post by The Robman »

As has just been discovered in the HE200 thread, the 740 protocol upgrade supplied when Combo2 is selected doesn't work, but the upgrade provided when Combo is selected does work. This was for the 15-1995 that doesn't have the official combo (with all it's limitations) installed.

I think we need to streamline these 2 versions a bit more, but I don't have time to look at it right now. So this is just a heads up that I'm gonna see what I can do with it all in the near future.

Rob,

I think this concerns my problems, and in which case, neither of the combo protocols worked. So I could still be doing something wrong and you may not need to do any streamlining.

In you zip file, you labelled one of the files as "good" and the other "bad". Each file used one of the combos, which implies that one of them is good, does it not?

I labeled them as good and bad so you would know which one I was having problems with. It was just by chance that they were set up with different protocols (I didn't know they could/should be changed). It turns out no matter which protocol I use (with the upgrade that should be for my receiver) it doesn't help. Sorry for the confusion.
