RM 0.68 - Maps, Images, and RDF's

If you have a new remote that isn't recognized by RMIR, post the details here so we can help create a new RDF for it. Or, if there is an issue with an existing RDF or map, this is the place.

RM 0.68 - Maps, Images, and RDF's

Post by cdhixson »

I think some of Nil's updates got left out of the latest releases of RM. I noticed a couple problems such as the image for the RS 15-2102 remote. The one in RM 0.68 is dated Sep. 3, 2003, but I know Nil's updated this at least once in his Sep. 16, 2003 update that is in the JP1-KM files area.

I think it might be a good idea for Nil's to upload his latest versions of every single image and map file. Greg can then replace all of the files in his development version of RM.

Good catch Chris. It has happened before and what I typically do is just resubmit them for the next release. I will include the RDF's also and we have a clean sweep of the latest of everything. I suspect it is a SourceForge check in issue since Greg is good about importing them all.

Greg

As Chris suggested, I uploaded all current maps, images and RDF's as of today to Sourceforge as a support request. It does include the updates that Chris noticed were missing and a few that were submitted earlier and never got into the distribution.

There are still 4 RDF's that are not compatible with RM that I have not had a chance to finish fixing yet but they are included also.

They are:
98009800 (URC-9800 with Learning Chip).rdf
BSKY (Sky Digital).rdf
T6D0T6D0 (Toshiba CT90047 2k).rdf
T6D0T6D0 (Toshiba CT90047 128b).rdf

Just FYI, as I have pointed out before, the description on the 98009800 RDF is wrong. Instead of "URC-9800 with Learning Chip" it should read "URC-9800 Learning Chip".

In other words, this RDF is not for the URC-9800 that has a learning chip (that would be the HUD0HUD0 RDF), it's actually for the learning chip itself.

Your right Rob. I just haven't done anything with the RDF so didn't think to rename it. My spreadsheet that I use to track my status by remote has a note in it do make that change.

I dont' plan to include that RDF with the RM distribution, since it can't really be used for creating device upgrades, which is what RM is all about.

Nils,

The support request doesn't have any attached files!?!

Apparently the zip file was too large for SourceForge and I missed the error message. I have posted it at jp1-km. Link below

Full set of maps, images and RDF's
