NO onscreen remotes work

The Slingbox is a Pro HD. Has been working fine for the past 2-3 years. We moved and I had to reconfigure because of a new router and new ISP.

The new ISP is Comcast. The new device is a DCI105COM1. Have tried the bin files found here but without success. The setup assistant apparently doesn't find the files (which have been placed in the correct folder).

No matter whether I try to configure via the web or via the desktop software, and no matter whether I select Cable Box or Other Device, I cannot access a list of manufacturers. The only option ever available is "Other" with the model number grayed out. When I enter the C2010 code provided in this forum for these bin files, the message is something to the effect of "not found -- try another."

Both video and audio work but I can only change the channel with the hand-held remote that was provided by Comcast, which makes the whole Slingbox idea pointless.

Suggestions would sure be appreciated.

Simple :D U21, a TS1117 3.3V voltage regulator in the box has failed. Just get a replacement box. (Assuming you have already tried a reset?)

This is a known design fault and quite a few users have reported that they got a free replacment even though they were out of warranty.

Thanks!

Is U21 the name of the part that failed?

Yes, I have tried resets ... more times than I want to count.

No idea. All I am doing is repeating the findings that are extensively documented over at http://answers.slingbox.com/threads. A forum search for 'no manufacturers' will show you the threads.
