slingbox learned xml

Post by afbergel »

Dear friends,

I have a new RC for a custom STB made to a new provider in Brazil and I'm pretty sure there isn't any BIN files for slingbox available yet.

When I use betaremotes site to make sling learn the remote it kinda work but most of the time the settop doesnt recognize the key.

I'm trying to get the learned rc xml from sling's page to import in RMIR and attempt to make a custom bin.

The problem is after the procedure in betaremotes there is no https://secure.sling.com/irservices/res ... {guid}.xml available and when I search web slingplayer log file there is just this url https://secure.sling.com/irservices/res ... 515f9269ef but it asks for user and password

Is there a way to get this xml? Tried to follow the procedure few times with different logins and older versions of webplayer plugin but every time there is just this other url in log.

Unfortunately, the "member" path requires system credentials that is embedded in the Slingplayer clients. So, you cannot use that URL. I would recommend looking for all instances of "guid=" not the URL. Look for the ones which look like the second instance in the picture below. That area of the log is created while you're recording the IR signals. If necessary, you can delete or move the webslingplayer.log file and it will record a brand new one while you go through the teaching process.
