Samsung TV 3D format discretes?

Post by kcmurphy88 »

1. Device: PN59D7000
2. Type of device: 3D Plasma TV
3. Year: 2011
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: RS 15-1994 Ex5
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes. Posted what I have.
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes, posted.
10. Learning remote question? keys not present on remote
11. Have you tried the JP1 Lookup Tool? N/A

There seems to be at least 3 format for presenting 3D images to a TV (full 3D, side-by-side and top/bottom). The 2011 Samsung 7000 series cannot currently autodetect with any certainty and the 3D key leads to a arrow-driven menu on activation and immediate-action on the toggle, making macros a pain and a half.

I've looked for info on this, and pounded out the EFCs, but I see nothing. Hoping someone has a better answer.

Be a good thing for Samsung to add in an update.... or at least get the autodetect working :!:

Found a match and recorded the IR signals with the JP1 tools to create the respective files.
Remotes; JP1.2: Comcast URC-1067, JP1.3: Insignia NS-RC02U-10A, JP1.4 OARI06G, JP2.1: Cox URC-8820-MOTO (still trying to figure out how to make them self-aware.)

Sammedi, This device does seem to be responding to the Emerson protocol, but it might also respond to some other types of codes.
