Hey guys,
after my scenegate 8500 I got a new cable box here =)
It's called Echostar HDC 601-DER from unitymedia (cable provider in Germany).
First, I used the pre-defined settings for the IR in the Slingbox Setup, but they don't work!
Can someone check the Harmony Database and upload the rmdu?
Thank you.

u r my personal G O D today
Okay, is it possible to import the pre-configured remote skin of slingplayer. Their Skin looked exactly the same like the original rc.
I'll upload the *.bin file later that day in the file section.
Thank you so much again!

I don't know - sorry - I'm not actually a Sling user, so I'm not up to speed on customisations like that.
This sounds like it may be relevant, though:
Producing Custom Remote 'Skins'
and maybe this
article covering all aspects of producing Custom Remote Controls is worth reading?

I can probably help, but I need some more information. When I try and install the Echostar HDC 601-DER I don't get EchoStar as a manufacturer.
What settings are you using to install it ?

Hey alan, I selected"Cable Box", then "unitymedia" as a manufacturer and HDC 601-DER as devices.

Are you talking about on Slingplayer ? I select Cable and there is no sign of a manufacturer called unitymedia.

I'm talking about the normal sling desktop player.

OK, that manufacturer must not be included on the US database. Unfortunately I cannot access my UK Slingbox at the moment so I cannot test it.
So you need to do some work

Go to C:\Users\..you..\AppDate\Roaming\SlingMedia\WebSlingPlayer and delete the WebSlingplayer.txt file (You need to show hidden files)
Now set up the Slingbox so your proper remote skin is being displayed. Now run up watch.slingbox.com and make that display the remote as well.
Now stop. Have a look inside the WebSlingPlayer.txt file and it should include the code somewhere. Do a search for
ir code:
and you should see the code number after it.

here is the code: C1290.
Best,

OK, you seem to be happy with building BIN files ? So just change the setup code from 2011 to 1290 and install that.
Any good ?

Hey, still got the same Skin

.
Doesn't matter, I already got used to the standarad design.
I'm more worried about my other post in the slingbox section (Scenegate 8500).
Thanks for your help.

I get a very nice UnityMedia skin when I do it. Have you checked under the Connect > Remote keys menu option to see if you have the wrong selection ?

Hum,
here's what I did:
Changed my *.bin file from C2015 to C1290.
Run System assistant, configured video sources, chose C1290 as my custom generated code. Then apply.
When the player starts, there's still the old skin.
Am I on the worng track

?

I hope you didn't just changed the name of the BIN file, you cannot do that. You have to rebuild the BIN file using RemoteMaster. Can you do that ?
