Sony RM-VLZ620 remote
This recently released  rm-vlz620 remote from sony is UEI made. 
It uses 5 digit codes, the prefixes are weird, 5****= tv's, 1****=blu-rays, 7****=cd players. the rest of the code is UEI.
It uses 9** codes to program the remote, but they are weird as well, 933, 905, 977???
I was looking at pdf's of recently released remotes to find one with blu-ray codes, started jotting down the codes and none looked familar until I got to samsung 10199 & sony 11516, this uei made remote!!! So I ordered the remote tonight it will be here next week. Some have had problems with learning, due to the instructions, So I wanted get it anyways.

The RM-AX1400, VL1400, PL1400 all had an internal 6 pin header  and all used the uPD78F0547GC processor.
RST Reset signal input
FLMD0 FLASH writing signal
FLSI RXD6 FLASH_WRITE signal input
FLSO TXD6 FLASH_WRITE signal output
Gnd
VDD +3V
Have never gotten around to see if they can be used with a JP1 cable as such. Will see if there is anything in the service manuals later.

What do you mean by "internal 6-pin header" ?  Do you see any tell-tale signs that these are UEI remotes?  The uPD78F0547 chip is an NEC chip, so that would tend to say that these are not UEI remotes.

While the instructions don't look like UEI instructions, the setup codes *are* UEI setup codes, so I would be very curious to know what the PCB looks like when you get the remote.

The first pic's not bad, the problem is the flash obscuring some of the PCB.  The best way to take a pic like this is to do it during the day when there's lots of natural light so you don't need the flash.

Wow, that looks very different to what we typically see.
There appears to be a sub-board which may be hand-soldered(!) to the main PCB. The sub-board has 40 connections, and presumably carries the microprocessor.
There are also two 8 pin chips, and I'd like to know the numbers on those chips. Perhaps they are drivers for the LEDs.
Apparently there is a 5 pin (2 pins not connected) reset chip, which is typically used to reset the micro (and other components) if the supply voltage goes too low.
Do you see a IR receiver for learning? It looks like there are 3 IR emitters.
Compared to the UEI PCBs that I have seen, this one has quite a bit more cost in it.
