can my 8910 file work my 8810 remote?

just got the 8810 to replace my 8910 with the donut ring. I thought I'd just be able to upload the file from my 8910 to the new 8810, but that doesn't seem to work. is there anyway to get my old file into the new remote, or do I have to start all over?

An IR file for one model remote cannot be used in a different one. You'll need to redo any upgrades by loading them into KM/RM, changing the remote, and then pasting the new code into IR. You'll have to redo all your macros manually as well.
