I still suspect the install. To let you see how easy it should have been, I made a YouTube video. Take a look and see if you install went like this:

Cable I'm using is...
USB to TTL Serial Cable Adapter FTDI Chipset FT232 USB Cable Computer Cable
I do not know how to put an image into this file but I do have a picture of the cable. It has 6 wires at the end.

If it is a missing driver I have these questions...
1. What is the name of the driver I might need?
2. Where do I get that driver?
3. How do I install that driver to wherever it should go?

Thanks for all the help!

I don't see much of reason to still suspect the install, based on this rmaster.err file. However, the rmaster file doesn't include an actual attempt to download, so we don't yet know the symptoms behind "no remotes found". Steve has been asked multiple times for rmaster.err from a session which includes a download attempt.

Also, I'll ask again. Can you tell us which wires you are hooking up to the various pins on the JP1 connector?

This one shows a download attempt at the very end, all NULL when it tries the ports.

Could just as well be pins in the wrong place as you said.

This is Steve Kovacs, the guy with the No Remotes Found problem. The long nightmare is over. The No Remotes Found problem has been fixed. For the record it was a driver problem. I updated the windows driver(s) and the problem was fixed.

I am writing this note to first say thank you very, very much for everyone's help. And secondly say I'm sorry I am so uninformed about how all this stuff works. I am learning. Also, if I posted things on this website in the wrong place, and in the wrong manner again I am sorry and I am learning.

Thanks Again for all the help!
