Nowhere in that article does it actually say "what" an IR blaster is, it certainly doesn't say that it's the IR/RF box that comes with the URC-9910 remote.

So, you need to decide one thing, do you wanna get your remote support from us or from UEI, so tell me punk, do you feel lucky???

Oh, so you're gonna play THAT game, eh?
"We must determine the meaning of the word 'is'"
Well, it certainly does make it clear that the "IR LED dongle" IS NOT the blaster itself.

I'll grant you that the "command centre" is not explicitly called the "IR blaster", BUT ...

if the "command centre" is not the "IR blaster", and the "IR LED dongle" is not the "blaster".. what is the "IR Blaster"?

I'll take you over UEI anytime, Rob, you're at least more fun to exchange banter with.

"command centre"? you really are an ex-Yank aren't you. In your youth you would have called it a "command center".

Btw, have you figured out what the Cockney Rhyming Slang is for "yanks" yet? Answer: It's "sceptic tanks"

I'm not sure how often a tank loaded with sceptics (or as I used to say in America - skeptics)

would come up in conversation, but I would be really offended if it meant "septic tank!"
