Not surprising, as you are not even close to following the instructions. In particular, I say to NEVER select Miscellaneous as a Device Type, and also that if you have a code below 2000 you MUST select the manufacturer. So you should be selecting Cable > RCN > Custom > ...

So try again but follow the instructions. The latest version is at http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/how ... -slingbox/

The wizard that I see, not match with the described on the article you are indicating.

When i select RCN, the manufacturer list only includes the list of models and the "other" option. If I select the "other" option, then the list of codes is enabled, but there are no way to select a customized remote

Finally I was able to configure it using the windows application. Following I will to check the button mapping

I have tested the new remote and I found that some customized keys are mapped on the virtual keys and the others customized are absent

Not the most helpful reply I have ever had. 'some' ? 'others' ? How am I supposed to work with that ? Give me a break

I would like that the customized keys of the first slingbox RCU were re-distributed on the new one, as following:

Now, the following keys are absent on the the last provided RCU:
- last key

Other findings:
- On RCN synergy control, the last key have the function of the OK key
- The General/ vol+/- keys could be assigned to the vol+-/ keys of the Synergy RCU

OK, lots of confusion here. Please ignore the Custom business, even I cannot remember those.

I actually mapped the correct function on each button as I could see it. I assume 1=1, 2=2, Ch+=Ch+.... and the rest of the 'normal' buttons are OK ?

So please tell me EXACTLY which button is not carrying out the function you want and which function it should operate.

In the context of "normal" buttons, everything works fine, except:
- Last (back key)
- Vol +/- (these are associated with the player, but does not to the control the STB)
mute key (that is associated with the player, but not with the control of the STB)

The Vol and Mute buttons are correct, that is how Sling have designed the system, nothing we can do about that.

So what about the rest of the buttons ?

PPV: has the same behaviour that VoD key (the original RCU does not have PPV key)
Music: ok
Help: ok
Favourite: ok (is disabled. The original RCU does not have FAV key)
A, B, C , D: ok

PIPs: ok

So what is your problem ? Everything appears to be working OK ?

I have two problems, basically:
1) The back key is not mapped (for example on the last key one)
2) The cutsom keys are relevant but are not mapped

You are talking about Custom again, which means absolutely nothing. BE SPECIFIC !!

What functions are not mapped and where do you which button do you want them mapped to ?
