Actually you can, I have done it quite a few times. You lose button customisation but that is easily rebuilt.
eferz was really kind to map out the codes to a Harmony 300 profile I created for him. So I supposed the question is how do I trannsfer a device from the Harmony 300 system to my Harmony 880?
As eferz mentioned, we had to create a new account because apparently, the Harmony 200/300(i) uses a web configuration tool on http://www.myharmony.com, where my Harmony 880 uses a hybrid of local and web software from http://members.harmonyremote.com.
It would be great if you could let me know how to proceed from here. Thanks!

I think you will find both can use either system. The offical Harmony software is the proper one, the we-based version just runs in parallel.
Send me an e-mail at alan (at) rmrsoft (dot) com and we'll sort this out off-forum and then report back the results.

Sorry about this, but now I get down to it I don't actually understand what we are trying to do. All this Harmony swapping is based on Earl installing an RMDU onto his Harmony, but which RMDU are we taliking about ? We know the '19' doesn't work on the '26' and I thought that was the only RMDU file we had.
Confused Please explain to me in words of one syllable EXACTLY what has been done and what my future role is.

From my perspective, I may (probably likely) have done something incorrect in generating the test on button. So certainly if this doesn't work then it will be confirmed the 19" definiteively doesn't work on the 26"

I don't think we know for sure that all the "LVQ-19HLD" IR signals don't work with the "LVQ-26HLD".
At this time, all we do know is that Rob's Pronto Codes for the respective "Power" command didn't work after czemel imported it into his Harmony Remote. I am not sure if it is safe to assume whether or not the Pronto Codes got encoded/decoded appropriately. The only way to know for sure is if he had an IR widget and IR scope for verification.
There's also no way of knowing whether that specific IR signal is valid for his device. So, the intention was to provide him with the full capability of using IR signals that was listed in the "LVQ-19HLD" RMDU. I did that by uploading the LVQ-19HLD RMDU into a Comcast URC-1067 and then teaching the individual commands to the Harmony 300 Remote on his profile.
I believe the current expectation is for you to assist him in swapping the IR profile from the Harmony 300 into his Harmony 880, so that he may fully test all the commands.

The Pronto code was fine. I checked it and it definately matches the LVQ-19HLD.

OK, the problem is that I cannot access your 300 account. My fault I guess, I thought all the remotes used the same Logitech software, either just the web-based version at members.harmonyremote.com or the standalone front end program. I didn't know there was a seperate system for the 300 at myharmony.com that I cannot use. Not sure where we go from here...

I believe that the difference of configuration software was reiterated more than once in this thread. But, did you ask him for the account credentials on his myharmony.com account? I don't think he cares much about it since he doesn't actually have a Harmony 300 and the LVQ-19HLD is the only device on it. My account is fubar, so it wouldn't help you at all.

I would recommend obtaining his credentials for myharmony.com to see if you can work your magic. Otherwise, maybe someone can provide him with the Pronto codes for other common commands like Channel Up/Down, Volume Up/Down, and Play/Stop.

Tried that already and failed. It's 300 specific. So while we can exchange profiles between the 800 and my 659 or 610, the 300 seems to be a one-off special.

You can include the Harmony 200, 300, and 300i for the myharmony.com configuration. I believe it is suited for the "economy" lines of the Harmony Remotes. It makes me wonder which software does the Harmony Link (that was recently released) uses.

I had another idea. You could load the LVQ-26HLD rmdu as a bin into one of your Slingboxes. Then you can teach the your Harmony 659 or 610 the IR signals. That should allow you to swap profiles with him, right?
