Dreambox DM7000, DM7020 and Slingbox

same problem here for me in Coolsat receiver. It cant even see the code i created , doesnt give me the choice to pick. i even renamed the one i created to the one that was available still didnt work.

Hello,

I have a URC-9910 with individual keys.

I want to put in an upgrade for a dreambox 7020. I found the upgrade file on this site for 8910 but I figure it should work. I used RemoteMaster, loaded the upgrade file (it complained about the protocol 01 6C), changed the protocol to Dreambox. Setup code is 1237. I went to the Output tab, copied the device code to the clipboard, went to IR's Devices tab, hit edit, pasted. Repeated with the protocol except went to IR's protocol tab. I changed the code for SAT to be 1237.

When I load it to the remote and press on my SAT key, it doesn't control my Dreambox. Did I load the wrong upgrade, protocol, or something else? Thanks in advance for any help.

A link to the file you used would be helpfull.

Anyway it sounds like the upgrade is a manual settings upgrade so you will have to use the protocol upgrade with it or the commands will not work.

BTW, what I meant with the individual keys for my 9910 is that it doesn't use the ring. I updated the protocol and device. When I entered in code 1237, nothing happened with my dreambox.

Thanks ....

I could see the difference in the Hex key values using the Dreambox 7000 file. I just had to re-map a few of the keys and learn the Power button.

Thanks for the file, but how would I test it? I just installed my slingbox. If you could give me quick step by step, I'd live to give it a shot. I'm trying to set up my dreambox 500, without success. Thanks

Let's see if this helps. I downloaded the following file...

I then opened it using RM, changed the selected remote to the JU Slingbox and re-assigned some of the buttons, the resulting RM file is here...

I then used RM to create the following bin files...

Save both of these files in your SBAV folder, then when you're programming the Slingbox, select "Other" and enter the code S1237.

I recently bought a slingbox a/v from the usa and wanted to use it for my dreambox 7025 here in Holland. Streaming works perfect but I can't get the remote to work with the slingbox software. I tried robman's newest files for the dreambox 7000 but these don't seem to work for the 7025. I'm not sure the 7000 and 7025 use the same remote but if I understand correctly the 7025 uses a jp1.2 remote. Is there any way to get this remote to work in the slingbox software? I'm new to this forum so excuse me for any silly questions. I still have alot of reading to do Any help/info is more than welcome. Is there anyone who has got this remote to work?

Hi,

I saw your message on the forum regarding hex files for the 7020 remote.

I myself have a dreambox 7025 but I think the 2 models uses the same remote. I'm trying to get this remote to work with my slingbox. Files for the 7000 by robman don't work. I was wondering if you have any hex/bin files available for me to test. I'm really curious if I can get this remote to work and to share this with the rest of the forum.

keenez30 posted a link to the file that he is using in his nov 26th post above, so by all means give it a try. However, I just looked at the DM7020 file and it uses the same codes as the DM7000, so if the DM7025 really does use a different code, that file won't work for you either.
