I've edited the RDF file to incorporate the changes jetstar52 has tested. It's at the same link as before.

Amazingly

Still amazes me the way the experts in the group volunteer their time and effort for making things "perfect." Thanks again. People, you can't buy this kinda technical support! SO THANKS TO ALL for the DEDICATION OF THEIR TIME!!!

CAREFUL: Looks like they (fleabay seller above) dropped the price to $6.99 but actually they added $2.99 each for shipping (before each shipped free)....so net is up a buck. Still under $10 shipped though. Down to 14 available.

my last HTPro is barely working. Wife drops it on the hardwood floor at least three times a day. I've forbidden her from using my Harmony One at least until I can enjoy it for a few months.

Like some others, I've been out of the loop. I'm still milking a Parallel port JP1 cable I made a few years back. I'd set up a 15-2116, but the ones I had hidden in the garage for this situation seem to have no working backlights.

How are these visio remotes with regard to backlights? Can an oldster like me see the words on the keys in a dark room?

Thanks.

The backlight is very bright. The text is small, as are many of the buttons, but if you can read a 2116, you can probably read the Vizio. You'll need to make (or buy) a JP1.3 cable, as your JP1 cable won't work with new JP1 remotes.

Thanks. I think I will pick one up and if I like the feel of it, maybe get a jp1.3 interface.

See http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=13928 for a very easy way to build a JP1.3 interface for < $15.

Well, for some reason this thread didn't notify me of responses, so belated thanks for everyone who provided info. I might pick up one of these if/when my 8810/8910 dies.

Yeah I like this remote. But none of the codes in the manual work with my devices. I have a usb cable coming from China so I should be able to migrate my upgrades from the htpro.

Looks like a great remote. Received it yesterday. I love the build quality and the way you hold it.

Unfortunately my JP1.3 cable is not in yet so I'm trying with the built-in codes.

I was able to program my amp and my TV but I can't find any code that will turn them off. It's only turning them on. Never saw that before. (?!)

I'm also trying to find a setup code that will enable all keys on the remote for my PVR (MythTV with Lirc.) The two elusive buttons are ones labelled media and swap (bottom.) They are often not enabled. When I find a code that enable them, the ABCD buttons don't. :(
