Slingbox remote codes for SAT receiver echolite cdvb5668
Hi guys,
anyone knows anything about this receiver? "echolite cdvb5668"
I am desperately searching for slingbox remote file...
I have original remote, but slingbox doesnt even have echolite as an option...
at home I have remote from Logitech (one remote), Dreambox 800SE...
I am wondering would it make sense to buy JP1.2 and try to extract remote codes.
any ideas?
thanks a lot in advance

If you're looking in becoming more self-sufficient then you should consider purchasing an IR widget instead and downloading IRscope and RM/RM-IR. You'll be able to use this combination with your Logitech Harmony Remote or original remote to create the required bin upgrades for the UEI chip inside of the Slingbox. That is exacly what I did and it only took about 10 minutes to accomplish.mihajloz wrote:I have original remote, but slingbox doesnt even have echolite as an option...

Remotes; JP1.2: Comcast URC-1067, JP1.3: Insignia NS-RC02U-10A, JP1.4 OARI06G, JP2.1: Cox URC-8820-MOTO (still trying to figure out how to make them self-aware.)

Thanks for the reminder. I removed the prefix "un". Is that acceptable?alanrichey wrote:Earl: Are you going to follow through and change the BIN file upload to 'proven' and add the installation instructions or do you want me to do it.

I don't mind at all. Though if they are resourceful enough to stumble upon the appropriate zip files, then they should be able to find the instructions. However, I think its admirable that you want to take one step further.alanrichey wrote:I still think we need a set of instructions inside each ZIP. If people just stumble across them they won't know what to do.
I am more than happy to to do that if you don't mind.

Haha... true, too true.alanrichey wrote:Mainly because my standard response on answer.slingbox.com is to send them here. And we know the level of expertise of the average user...

I think the following response proves that there's a need for detailed instructions to be included with every file. My SOP when I create a bin file is to include one of Alan's readme files.

Every file or just the zip files with Slingbox bins? I don't mind including a generic document with the Slingbox bins. However, if I have to include a readme with every single ICT, RMDU, or any other file I upload then then I'll just refrain from helping community all together. That would take the fun out of helping someone into something that feels more like work. The Robman wrote:I think the following response proves that there's a need for detailed instructions to be included with every file. No no, just the zip files with the Slingbox bins, the users that we're talking about wouldn't know what to do with an ICT or RMDU file!
