Have used JP1 for a long time, but not for last few years. So, I downloaded the latest versions of the main tools to see if all my files work.
IR 8.03 looks OK. But RM IR (1.32 ?), when I load the same .ir file, there no protocols on the the Protocols window. The RAW Data window looks OK.
I'm afraid to test it with my remotes until I resolve this question.
Problem with newest tools ?

IR/RMIR has been updated and combined into one download. Try it here: https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=1339bigbge wrote:Have used JP1 for a long time, but not for last few years. So, I downloaded the latest versions of the main tools to see if all my files work.

Remotes; JP1.2: Comcast URC-1067, JP1.3: Insignia NS-RC02U-10A, JP1.4 OARI06G, JP2.1: Cox URC-8820-MOTO (still trying to figure out how to make them self-aware.)
Re: Problem with newest tools ?
Yes, I know. But when I load my .ir file, the Protocols window is empty with the new RMIR. It seems OK with IR 8.03.

For RMIR, 2.01 is the current released version.
It works differently to IR. Protocol upgrades are shown on the Devices tab. You can see it in the protocols column.
Vesion 2.02 Alpha has several nice new features related to visualizing the protocols, including marking blocks of Raw Data with colors so that you can see exactly where a protocol upgrade is located. But it isn't necessary, version 2.01 hasn't lost the protocol upgrade.
If you're really nervous about this, get Version 2.02 alpha 11 . Copy the RemoteMaster.jar file into your existing RM directory, replacing the 2.01 version.

That's how RMIR works, it sort of hides the protocol upgrades.bigbge wrote:Yes, I know. But when I load my .ir file, the Protocols window is empty with the new RMIR. It seems OK with IR 8.03.
