Thomson DCI72CBV with Slingbox

Post by tjulo »

1. Device: Thomson DCI72CBV
2. Type of device: Cable Box
3. Year: 2010
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: Slingbox
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? No
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? N/A

Guys I am a total newbie on this IR codes thing, and I have tried to use all the Thomson files (BIN adn RMDU) in the files section with my slingbox but none of them worked.

For the RMDU files I converted them to bin using the Remote Master, and then I have copied each of the bin files to the Sling Player /Applications/SlingPlayer/Contents/Slingbox Setup Assistant/Contents/Resources/SBAV/ folder on a Mac, typed the codes in the sling setup and none has worked.

Some of the files the Sling Player gave me an error while reading them, but most were read, but just nothing happened when I pressed the "Power" button.

This cable box is being used by Cabovisao in Portugal, and I cannot find a single reference to it online, or on Thomson's website :(

Can anybody give me a hand in solving this issue? My Slingbox is in Portugal and I am in the US, I would hate calling my cousin at 3AM to change the channels :) help!!!

Thanks!

I was able to create the BIN file my self using the IR Widget, and I uploaded it to the file section. If this is useful to you do get it here

Could you also load your RMDU file into the Cable folder please.

Okay, I was going to create an RMDU from an LHD recording. However, I saw something kind of wacky. It seems the database has listed all the commands with the OBC = 0 with the X value the equivalent to the High X-bit Toggle plus the true OBC. Whereas, tjulo's BIN file list adds the 128 to OBC value. It is too weird and I may not even be describing it properly. So here's some screenshots.

So, I'm not really sure what the correct way of creating the RMDU for this particular device. The zip file with both ICT files has been uploaded here (https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=10516)
Remotes; JP1.2: Comcast URC-1067, JP1.3: Insignia NS-RC02U-10A, JP1.4 OARI06G, JP2.1: Cox URC-8820-MOTO (still trying to figure out how to make them self-aware.)
