Unlock the cable device on a Comcast 1067b

Post by speaker.guy »

I am in Florida without my jP1 cable . I am trying to put in some advanced codes to upgrade the functionality. Works fine in the TV mode, but not in the cable mode. I suspect it is because the cable device programming is locked. I know I can unlock it with JP1, but is there a 9xx setup code that will do it??

The standard Cable ID lock/unlock code is 982. I don't know if it works on the 1067, but... If you press long-setup (2 blinks) followed by 982, you should get 4 blinks to UNlock your cable setup code, and 2 blinks to LOCK it (they would alternate back and forth)

Thank you for the quick response. Got the 4 blinks, but still would not let me do a keymove into the cable device...
