Hi!
I have just bought a new DVD player, and I would love to have my Dreambox remote to control it. The remote already controls my Sony LCD, and have only one remote for all devices would be nice. Does anybody know if the AGK is compatible with any other brand, or happen to have the codes for it? I suspect it could be compatible with another brand, as it is a very cheap DVD player, which is made in China.
1. Device: AGK Nordic 10247
2. Type of device: DVD player
3. Year: Brand new
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: Dreambox 7020-S URC-39730 B02-00
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes, and searching for "AGK" is no succes.
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? No
10. Learning remote question? No, I don't have a learner.
Regards
Rasmus

Unless someone posts some code info for the AGK, the best you can do is some wild experiments. Many cheap DVD players use the NEC1 protocol with a device code of 0, so you could try creating some test upgrades which use most of the lower OBCs to see if any of them do anything.

Thanks for your reply!
OK - I had a look at Keymap Master, but the Dreambox remote V3 is not in the list. Even if it was, i think it looks quite confusing to use the spreadsheet.
You suggest to try the NEC1 protocol - so far so good. But there are many other parameters which has to be set. Is there a "KM for dummies" somewhere, ie. with screenshots? I don't consider myself as a dummy, but this might be just a little to much...
If this is "piece of cake", could you please do the settings I might want, and then save the spreadsheet with the settings, and then post it here?
Thanks - Rasmus

RM supports the Dreambox v3 if KM doesn't.
Try JP1 - Just How Easy Is It? for RM users, or JP1 - Just How Easy Is It? for KM userszulfi wrote:Is there a "KM for dummies" somewhere, ie. with screenshots?

Sure, there's a Dummy guide and there's a link to it in the Beginners forum, but here's a direct link:

And yes, it is a piece of cake, so here's an IR file with a different NEC1 dev 0 upgrade on each device button.

While KM doesn't support the DB v3 remote, the v2 layout is almost identical, so you can select that. Or, you could also switch to RM which does support v3.
I've been told that the remote for the AGK looks very similar to the remote for the Woxter 10247 HDMI dvd player, and this player uses NEC1-dev 0, so you could also try this upgrade:

Oh, thanks guys - you're really doing a great job here.
I will look into the stuff you've posted, and see if I can make it work.
I don't know about the Woxter DVD player, but I posted a picture of the AGK remote at http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=5875

Oh, yes! I'm very close to be in control - the Woxter-thing seems to be equivalent to the AGK Nordic. Most of the buttons work fine from the upgrade you posted. Thanks for that! Now theres just some adjusments and the hunt for discrete on/off codes left.zulfi wrote:

Thanks again!

Here's the AGK and Woxter remotes side by side.
