Samsung BDP1400 - few more buttons

Post by xnappo »

1. Device: Samsung BDP1400
2. Type of device: BluRay Player
3. Year: 2007
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: 8910
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? Yes
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? Yes
10. Learning remote question? Sorta

Rob posted an upgrade for an older Samsung player - the BDP1000 here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=3453 .

The player seems to use some special encoding requiring a special protocol.

The newer player has a few more buttons than are in Rob's upgrade. There are A,B,C,D and a bookmark key. I tried learning these, but decode IR can't parse them.

Here is a link to an IR dump:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=5452

1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D, 5=marker, 0=0

Thanks,

Yes, all of the functions that are in the original upgrade work. Just missing the new ones.

Nothing special. My IR 7.09 and DecodeIR 2.36 parsed 'em right out.

Argh, thanks. Sorry for taking up people's time. I looked at the date of decodeir.dll in the 'tools' area and saw 2004 - not realizing that was the date of the original file, not the most recent!

Sorry. I deleted it a while back and don't have a copy. Hopefully xnappo will post his version soon. In any case, the EFCs for those functions are 238, 240, 236, 243, 110 and 140 respectively. You can add those to the BDP1000 upgrade. If you're using it for a 1500 by chance, let us know if it works out. Hopefully one of those is in my future.
