IR.exe: Translating learned codes in button device codes ?

This is the JP1 beginners forum. There's no such thing as a stupid question in here, so post away, but this forum is just for JP1 users and people considering JP1, non-JP1 users please use the appropriate forum above!

If you're building an upgrade from the learned signals there's no need to "test" any setup codes. An upgrade can use any number from 0000 to 2047.

I understand english isn't your native language, but have you read the beginner's documentation? Most of the fundamentals of JP1 are explained in them.

I've updated my post to include the decodes and the protocol upgrades from the original T-Home thread. Most of the function codes look the same. You can use KM or RM to create a device upgrade. As noted in the other T-Home thread,

Edit RM's protocols.ini and add:

Code: Select all

[T-Home 300T]
PID=01 A2
FixedData=99 40
Code.S3C80=43 8B 21 8B 14 86 81 10 08 08 00 9D 00 89 00 9D 00 89 AD D4 FF FF FF FF 02 8D 01 46
Code.HCS08=20 17 23 46 21 86 81 10 08 08 00 9D 00 9D 00 9D 00 9D AD D4 FF FF FF FF 02 CC FF 5F
Then change Device 0: 153 and Device 1: 64.
Make Sure Fixed Data entry shows as 99 40 in RemoteMaster.
Fill in the OBC columns for your functions.

Hi, Folk, I made it ! I could do it for a replay-tv, and a dvd player. It was hard. Making the map of each remote, doing learning operations, downloading, uploading, doing difference between address number and code numbers. Every one of this done a ... thousand times !
Thank you. 8-) :)

No need to test different setup codes. You make the upgrade, you decide the setup code number. It can be any number that you want from Decimal 0000 to 2047. Just ensure that it doesn't conflict with any setup codes that are currently assigned to another button on your remote. The upgrade takes precidence over any built-in setup code of the same number.
