DVD/0675 uses NEC1 Device 135:Subdevice 34, which is used in most of those upgrades. It is also used in DVD/0821. Have you tried that setup code?
Even if you are using a built-in setup code, perhaps you have keymoves or macros that are overriding certain buttons. We can't really tell unless you provide your IR file (and a link) so somebody can take a look at it.
Answering question 7 and 8 requires a little bit more than a simple Yes or No. Did you try the Magnavox DVD/DVR upgrades in the file section? Which ones? Did any of them do anything? If so, what? Provide links to any files you discuss, as well.
Do you have channel control locked to a different device?
Do you know that it takes TWO presses of REC to make it send the signal in many UEIC remotes? (that applies if the assigned device TYPE is VCR or DVD or CBL)
Other possibilities exist, but one can't guess all of them without more info.

He's not a JP1 user, so no IR file and no macros.Capn Trips wrote:Even if you are using a built-in setup code, perhaps you have keymoves or macros that are overriding certain buttons. We can't really tell unless you provide your IR file (and a link) so somebody can take a look at it.

Thanks. I usually try to look up the advanced code from:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/adv-codes.shtml
Which works really well for my TV.
Unfortunately, there is no code listed for 0675. I tried 0821 but it does not work for my Magnavox. The buttons missing for 0675 does not trigger the light so I believe they are simply not programmed.
My remote is actually upgraded by OFA but I cannot get it to work w/ JP1. Tried everything suggested. There is another thread for that.

Upgrade file for Magnovox DVDR MSR 90D6 matches most of the functions in DVD/0675 setup code and it has some of the functions you need. Try these advanced codes:
channel up = 148
channel down = 152
record = 026
Setup = 132
What's "V.replay" and "V.skip"? Maybe those are in there too, but labeled differently.
