FYI: Black Learning/Backlit Atlas OCAP Remotes on Ebay

I received my remote today.

It's not working with IR. I'm getting a "Jp12 read failed -1." error.

My remote's label reads:

1056BC1-BLX-XXX-0001-001-R
C071505

The 001 wasn't on SpeakerGuy's label.

My remote doesn't have a discrete IC. It has one of those black blobs.

The last -001 WAS on my label! Left it off in my haste to get OOT.
I really don't think I like the backlit remote. Many labels are impossible to read without the backlighting, and I just don't like it coming on every time I press a button. I will work with it to get the upgrade completed, and then dump the 3 I have in favor of the one without the backlight....

If you want to dump one, dump one my way. Just verify that it works with JP1.3.

I can't get in touch with the guy anymore who sold me my remote.

Not to start a bidding war, but I WANT one or two of the black backlit Atlas's (JP1.3), also.

I am going to keep one for the time being. I will sell one at $20 including Priority Mail shipping. Includes virgin (unopened package) remote, brand new batteries, and manual.

My current one from the same batch you got yours doesn't seem to work.

I am using an old DIY JP1.x (actually modified to not work with JP1.1) and it works fine. Any JP1.x cable should work. I do not know of ANY cable that is specific to JP1.3.

Yes backlight can be disabled by pressing setup twice...
