I found the remotes by doing a search for "5-device".greenough1 wrote:Quick question guys.. if people list these remotes for sale, what sort of model number stuff do they give? I see a pretty long list of what look like atlas remotes. I'm looking for black, backlit.
e.g. ER1 UR3-EXP
Thanks,
jeff
But they technically known as ATLAS OCAP 1056's.

Hmm... previously, the BC was only seen on the Silver ones, and is so indicated on the UEIC website. I suppose that perhaps the BC refers to backlighting.speaker.guy wrote: Label-1056BC1-BLX-XXX-0001-R

Actually, yes. The 1055 3033 has FOUR phantoms, but two of those buttons are real (Menu and D) in the 1056, leaving only TWO phantoms.speaker.guy wrote: Are there really only 2 phantom keys vavilable on this remote?
It looks like unclemiltie's extender for the 1056 leaves only ONE phantom.
(But to be frank, with the number of real buttons and shifted variants (and x-shifted ones in the extended remote, ultimately) there's plenty of locations to store those bizarre Special Functions and Macros, I would imagine.)

A question.
I have created macros to execute a key on a device I am not presently on so they work universally across all devices. I can also do this by a lot of learning or keymoves.
Problem with the macros is that they leave the remote in the device where the native key is located. Any trick to end the macro back where I started.
Problem with learning/key moves is memory, and a lot of entries/bookkeeping.
What is/ is there an efficient way to accomplish this?
Also, it really bugs me that the only way I can control a REplay is by using Panasonic protocol. Any other one trashes the remote....
