XM Radio Roadie

I want to play my xmradio roadie through my car speakers.

I have no electronics experience at all, but I did find a wiring diagram for my car's radio.

Ideally I'd like to wire in a stereo jack that would cut out the CD and cut in my xmRadio. Is this possible, or does anyone have any other suggestions.

I thought the Roadie has an FM transmitter in it?

I know the SkyFi and SkyFi-II both have this feature. You have to turn it on first, and in general the sound quality isn't what you'd get from a CD but it's a hell of a lot easier than wiring something in. (this from the guy who wired in his Bluetooth hands free kit)

I was inspired to do the wiring by an article in Roundel Magazine, where they did it with a vintage BMW. Now with the Lexus, which is nearing vintage, has a lot more wires. I was just hoping I could do the jack, because I could use the xm-roadie, or the portable Navi system, or the iPod. With the xmRadio, I can put one of those adpators for the antenna on it, but I'm still straining to hear the Navi, and I need that because I become easily lost.

Yes, I checked the spelling 3 times before I posted, and I still got it wrong! That scrambled letter thing is getting worse as I get older, especially when I'm tired. I hate it!

It wasn't just the "stereo" that was breaking the link, it was also the period at the end. I have fixed the link in the original post.
