I got a reply from OFA with an audio file uppgrade but its missing a few key buttons so I also requested the advanced codes and they sent me those and everything was perfect until I would the advanced codes for "fastext blue", "fastext red", "fastext green."
What are they and do I need them by any chance?
Thanks,
Ghost117
EDIT: I also have a lot of advanced codes for "TEXT" functions, such as text hold, text reveal, text mix, etc...
They dont actually apear on the original remote. ANyone have a clue about what they do?

What device is this for? Usually such text services are common in Europe (and possibly Asia) on their Televisions, or set-top boxes, but are not usually of much use in the US.
If the upgrade is for an Audio receiver, however, then I don't know.
Only YOU can tell if you need them (i.e. if your device does not respond to them, odds are you don't need them)

It's an Emprex TV. I dont know if the device responds to them yet. I dont have the remote yet. Its still shipping. I was just setting everything up to so i could just load it on oce the remote arives.
ALso, what exactly do the "text services" so? or should do?
EDIT: Also, while were here, this is a bit off topic but...
If i upgrade my remote vi WAV file but then decide I would like to change something in the setup and say, change the function of a button in the upgrade and load it again, will it overwrite the original upgrade or will it remain along side the original? If it's the second how would I go about deleting the original?

I did a google search just now. The first hit and best explanation I found is:
http://www.teletext.sg/faqs.htm
That FAQ is for Singapore Teletext, but I think the operation info is the same anywhere that has fastext.
IIUC, while you are using Teletext, a fastext capable TV will preload four pages linked to from the current page. Each of the four Fastext buttons will switch you to one of those four preloaded pages faster than following the link the normal way would.
But since I've never even seen Teletext, I might be totally misunderstanding.

Here are some more info about teletext

The four colored buttons are used different from broadcaster to broadcaster, but the most common used is the red and green for page up and down.
