Anyone have a spare remote to run an expreimnet for me.

I know this is a lot to ask and if noone is willing to do this then thats ok but it would be a real help if someone had an extra remote with a modem lying around and they would call the support center and ask for an over the phone upgrade for my components. The upgrades that Rob found in the file section for me (thanks by the way) are incomplete, expecially the TV. I would like to see if their tech support can do better. But since I dont have a JP1 cable I cant call them and do it myself because I actually want to see what they are upgrading.
So if someone could call and ask for upgrades for my components, use a JP1 cable to transfer them onto their PC and then post them for me, that would be amazong!

My components are:
Emprex HD-3201AE (this is the one I really need because half of the buttons in the upgrade are missing.)

Sony HT-DDW700(In this one there are a couple useful functions missing so if they can provide something that would be great.)

If anyone could do this they would be the best person ever!

You should call OFA yourself and ask them to send you the advanced codes for these devices, which they will do via email.

Also, what exactly are advanced codes again? Are those the OBc or EFC codes? or the setup codes? or what?

Advanced codes provide extra functionality within a setup code. The setup code provides the basic functionality for the device. The advanced code adds more functionality that's not in the setup.

Advanced Codes are EFCs.

As has been suggested multiple times to you, download the software and look around a bit. IR.exe has an option to take a .wav file and import it into IR. Then you can take the various device upgrades that appear in that IR file and import THEM individually into RM.

But you have to download the software and start looking at it to see this.

I don't mean to be rude Ghost, but you're starting to ask alot of questions, and therefore take up alot of time from the experts, where you wouldn't need to ask so many questions if you had read the documentation first and played with the software.

Im sorry guys. You were right. I just spent all day reading different guides and playing with the soft and I figuered out that I would have answered 99% of my questions myself.

Also, I would like to recomend this guide that I found in the file section for anyone that needs help. I think it would make a great addition to the beggeners sticky. I covers everything very well and in a user friendly way:
