Pin numbers

Post by jocol52 »

I have a URC8810 and a URC8910. Which pin is number 1, neither is labeled. I assume it matters when connecting the JP1 interface.

It matters, but not that it'll cause any damage if you get it wrong. It just won't work, so try both ways, and it will work when you have it the correct way.

but to answer your question, the pin in the lower left corner is pin1, and just FYI, it is labelled. You'll notice that there's an outline around the 60pin that looks like an old index card because one of the corners is cut away, well, that corner is pin1.

Thanks.

I saw the notched corner but wasn't sure which pin is number 1. Of course, I tried it shortly after posting and as usual I had it backwards. Reversing the plug worked.

Again thanks.
