IR 6.20 invalid floating operation over learned signals

Post by ElizabethD »

I learned a bunch of signals. When I downloaded from the 8910 into IR 6.20 I got "invalid floating point operation" error. (The signals are there, but as I'm totally clueless about Sony, I have no idea if they make sense, especially double translations. But that's chapter 2, as it's all explained in KM and RM anyway).
I saved the file, and when I open it to begin annotating, I get the same error. Learned signals area shows 1021 unused bytes, and the space indicators are all wrong anyway.

Is there anything peculiar here?

Sounds like a personal problem to me.

The IR file opens fine for me in 6.20 with no pop-ups and clean decodes of all of the signals, with 50 learning bytes free remaining. So I'm guessing there's something wrong with your copy of IR.

Do you want the decodes?

Thank you. Don't do anything. I've got the upgrade built based on what I saw and trusted. It puts out correct signals, so it's gotta work. It's just that floating error that's odd, and goofy free learning bytes, even though all decodes were visible. I think I know why at this point as this is the second occurence of the same error. IR isn't corrupted, it's something else.
