Device Toggler Special Protocol and 9960 B01

Post by joedaring »

Hellò all!

Following advice received a while ago, to save some memory on my 9960 B01 remote currently out of keymoves/macro space I'm starting to investigate about the Device Toggler special protocol...

I searched the fora and found a few posts to study but, before losing my sleep over something that can't work on my remote, I would like to ask:

in the "Special Protocol" Spreadsheet (Latest version on the files section...) I can't see the 9960 B01 listed among the remotes in the drop-down list :-( ... is this special protocol (...or the Device Multiplexer) compatible wih my particula Kameleon?

Which remote should I chose in the drop-down?

Also, does anybody have an example detailing how to set-up the protocol?
I've read the read-me a few times, but I'm not sure I completely understand what I have to do to set up the Device Toggler correctly...

An example or two would have helped a lot...

Thanks for your attention, and have a great sunday

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any support for the 9960.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the reply... even if it cuts my wings even before starting to learn fly! ;-)

So trying with the Special Protocols spreadsheet and the Kam 8060 selected, would not get me anywhere?

Funny, because the suggestion to try and use the Device Toggler or the Multiplexer came from Rob in a thread of some weeks ago... I was sure it was something definitely worth trying...

Oh well! Once again a dead-end alley... I have no chance other that hope for the 9960 B01 Extender to be released... ;-)

Thanks for your time guys!

Have a great sunday

Hi Joe,
Don't hold your breath waiting for that extender. It has been over three months since Nils was "very close". I gave up and moved the RF puck from my 9960 B01 to one of my old 9960 B00 remotes. I know Nils has other things to do but I got tired of waiting.

Hi Tg0905,

Yes, it is proving to be a long wait, but since I'm not able to write the extender, nor are you I believe, I don't feel in the right position to complain, and there's not much more we can do beside waiting... I've been very good at underwater swimming in apnoea a few years ago, and still can hold my breath long enough! ;-)

If the extender is still in the works, there must be good reasons and, BTW, it's not a matter of life or death...

I also feel the need for a more efficient use of the remote's memory, along with the LKP/DKP functionality at the very least, but I'm doing just fine with the B01 and my equipments...

Plus, I'm currently adding a good enough implementation of an upgrade to command my new TV... got a lot of help here, and I'm just happy this way...

Ciao TG, my regards
