Post by navyant »

I cannot get the ir.exe program to display anything like the pretty pics in fig.2 shown by Rob. The connection status says that it is connected. the remote lights up everything and then flashes the two indicators twice then nothing. I have heeps of raw hex data but it would be nicer to have the stuff show in fig.2 am I doning something wrong or is my remote that has JP1 printed on the PCB wrong and its something diffrent?

In a case like this, the obvious first question is: Do you have the correct rdf files in a folder where IR can find them?

If not, then you must download the rdf.zip file from the Tools>Main area and unzip them to a folder, and then tell IR (there is a drop-down File menu selection) where the rdf files are located.

If that STILL doesn't work, then save your downloaded IR file, upload it to the diagnostics area, and post a link to it here. Somebody will look at it and tell you if it's the file, or something else.
