Keymove issue with Lutron Maestro (5-digit EFC)

Post by sbird »

Back to JP1 after a few years away...

Trying to add a keymove for a Lutron Maestro in IR.

https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=3555

Using Rob's Lutron Maestro upgrade and RM 1.65 to generate
device 0597 and protocol E7 data.

Keymoving Dim Down to Thumbs Down button on DVD device.
EFC=22247 Hex=82 22

How can I add this value as IR says my remote (URC-6131B00) only supports 3-digit EFCs?

I thought the "extended" 2-byte codes (i.e. 5-digit EFCs) were "supported" by the custom protocol.

I'm missing something fundamental here I'm afraid.

Thanks,
Bob

The only way to get the 6131 to accept multi-byte keymoves is to install the extender.

Thanks, Greg. I'm off to learn about extenders...

While I'm asking...

How do I tell if I have a 1K or 2K URC-6131? I'm guessing 1K unless I've upgraded/added memory myself.
