I found an upgrade called "Sony KDF-E42A10 for RS 15-2104.rmdu" I have tried to apply it to my URC-8810 remote but most of the keys do not work. I am guessing it is because I dont have the extender.
I have tried to tweak it every way I know how to use this file with my 881x, but for the life of me I cannot get it to work. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Using the rmdu file on an 881x

After loading it into RM, but before copying the upgrade to IR, did you change the remote to URC-881x?

Then you'll have to
copies of your updated .ir and .rmdu files to the Diagnosis Area so we can see exactly what you've done. Make sure you come back here and post links to your uploaded files.

Go to the learned signals tab in IR and delete all that crap learned to TV buttons. Learned signals override upgrades, so you're mainly using those learned signals, not testing your upgrade.
You have only two device numbers in this kind of upgrade. You have device 1, obviously under 32, and you have device 164.
You assigned functions with device number 164 only to the Sleep button and the shift-Mute button. So your above quote ought to mean that Sleep and shift-Mute are the only two buttons that work. I doubt that you mean that. Hopefully every button without a learned signal works.
What is that supposed to mean?JARROYO wrote:BTW, it looks like the codes under "32" are the ones that do not work. I have tried selecting "force Sony 15" but that didn't help it, so I went back to not selecting it since that is the recommended path "almost always".
