OK - answers 4 and 6 imply that answer 10 is wrong. The 9910 is MOST CERTAINLY INDEED a learning remote.

Answer 7 makes no sense. If you do not yet have you cable, how can you claim to have tested any of the files in the file section?

Wait until you receive you cable. Then try to use any of the three Panasonic DVD-VCR upgrades in that file section. If none of them work, then simply learn the OEM remote to the 9910, decode it with IR, and build your own upgrade. (or post the learned IR file in the diagnosis area with a link to it here)

OK #10 should be yes. #7 just states that I have looked through the file section, it doesn't imply that I have tested anything. I'll check back after I get the cable. Thanks

Actually, you wrote:

From the Number 1 Code Search FAQ template:
7. Checked the file section? (no or link to file(s))
Answering "Yes" implies that you checked the file section and didn't find any files for your device (or similar models of the same brand). If you DID find an upgrade, please provide a link to the file, even if the upgrade doesn't work, just so we can rule it out. If there are upgrade files available for your brand, even if the model numbers are different, please try them and specify whether they worked or not in your post.
I respectfully suggest that there ARE files for "your device (or similar models of the same brand)".

I'll bet the DMR-e85 upgrade will probably work. I'll bet any Panasonic DMR upgrade will probably work.
