8910 not reading out with RM ?

Post by stacker »

Hi,

got my 8910 from Rob in the mail today :) Quickly built the simple interface, and test with RM seems ok, but download from my remote doesn't seem to end me up with my data :(
The remote fills the display, but the red led doesn't blink or so.
What might be the problem here?

tnx..

You can't (yet) use RM to upload/download to/from your remote. You use IR for that.

I don't understand what you mean by "The remote fills the display"

1) make sure the connector is in the right way. Just turn it 180 degrees and try again.

2) do a factory reset on the remote

3) turn 1 battery around and try again. Don't leave the battery turned wrong for too long.

4) turn off error checking in IR.

5) make sure the correct port is selected in IR

* turned around the connector: ir comes with message that interface doesn't response.
* turned one battery around, 8910 stops working , dead .

* turn off error checking, where is that in ir?
* factory reset i'll read and findout how ;)

Turning one battery around will stop the remote from working but may download.

Error checking is in the Interface menu

No,

But I had to put all rdf's in an rdf dir where i had IR installed. Now it works like a charm ;) Tnx

Not having the RDFs extracts doesn't explain the symptoms that you described, so you must have been doing something else wrong also. But if course, this is acedemic now that you have it working.
