Your descriptions lack some clarity and not using real sentences makes it a LITTLE hard to sort out, BUT...
When you write "it keeps saying", I presume you are referring to IR.exe, correct?
(You should (and claim to) have a folder with all of the latest rdf's that you downloaded from the Files>Tools>Main section of this site.)
When you are in IR, click on "File>Set Directory>rdf path..."
You get a pop-up window.
When you look in that window, what directory (folder) have you selected? ...and more importantly, when that directory (folder) is selected, do you see all of the rdf files displayed in the right-hand window?
If you do not, then you have NOT properly selected the path to your rdf files. Select the folder that has all of your rdf files in it, and you should be all set.

Did you by any chance just unzip one file that you think you need? If yes,
Unzip the RDFs into ...\RDF directory. Do not skip any files when you unzip.
Use File > Set directory > RDF path, and point to the \RDF directory name.
Then when you download from the remote, IR is likely to find the RDF that matches your remote.
If IR doesn't select the file, post back.
Current RDF zip file is in Tools/Main http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=1948

Yes i did d/l all of the RDF files.
and yes its in the Directory /RDF.
i'll do more reading tonight when i'll get back from work.
and post my findings.
because when use IR.exe and download from remote, it (IR.exe) tells me that it can't find my remote and IR flashes(bottom left light in IR) a couple of times.
nothing seems to have happened only that the raw data isn't the same
some different value is posted.
i'll do some more reading.
thanks

Then IR should be seeing your remote and picking out the correct rdf. The only other thing I can think is that perhaps somehow your 8811's EEPROM has gotten corrupted and isn't sending the correct information to IR. Try a 981 reset and then try to download from the remote into IR.

The IR program should
(1) display the rdf name across the top banner (URC-881x/801x/601x); and,
(2) have a number of Tabbed screens:
General-KeyMoves-Macros-Spcl Prot Fns-Scan/Fav-Devices-Protocols-Learned Signals-Raw Data.
If you are seeing ONLY the Raw Data tab, then for whatever reason, IR cannot see the rdf (or the signature being sent from the remote is unrecognizable).
If you still can't get anywhere, repeat what I suggested above (981 reset - did you get 4 blinks of the LED? - upload the remote to IR) and post the IR file in the diagnosis area with a link to it here. Someone will take a look to see if the IR file is somehow corrupted (Of course, that will require a REAL expert, as I'm just sort of an advanced user, not really an expert)
