can I hot plug?
I'm brand new here and I have the most basic question. I'm reading "Just how easy is it?" and just wondering: Can I hot plug the parallel interface into my jp-1 remote or should I power down the computer before making the connections?

Doesn't matter, but normally, the cable is hooked up to the parallel port first (and stays there for the duration of your "JP1-ing" session), and then you plug/unplug from the remote LOTS of times as you up/download and test/modify.

Thanks or the quick reply. That makes sense. I just didn't want to start out with a bang:-)Capn Trips wrote:Doesn't matter, but normally, the cable is hooked up to the parallel port first (and stays there for the duration of your "JP1-ing" session), and then you plug/unplug from the remote LOTS of times as you up/download and test/modify.
