Before you start post snide replies to questions from an expert who's trying to help you, you should first make sure that you understand the question and that you've answered any previous questions that they have asked.
Here's a sampling of some of the questions that Mark had previously asked you that were still un-answered at the time of his last post.

"the protocol upgrade is required as well... did you copy it into IR?"

"You didn't answer my question, though. For those commands to work, the protocol code from the upgrade MUST also be copied over to IR. Did you do that? "

"I asked you this before and never got an answer: did you copy the Protocol Code from KM and paste it into IR's Protocols tab? "
Keep in mind that you are a JP1 beginner and are therefore likely to make mistakes. The experts here are familiar with the sort of mistakes that beginners often make. One very common mistake is forgetting to copy the protocol upgrade from KM or RM over to IR.

Statements like that leave the experts guessing as to what you actually did.
I also noticed that you have a bunch of keymoves in VCR mode that use the VCR/0616 upgrade, that are using EFCs from the VCR/0614 code. As I mentioned before, the EFCs from the two Replay codes are not interchangeable. _________________ Rob

Forget it Rob...
You are spending an inordinate amount of time policing my posts. Why don't you just cancel my membership, and you can get back to the important things in life. |

Actually, I had already given up trying to help you, as I suspect quite a few other experts have, but I could see Mark going down the same path that the Capn and others had already been down, so I thought I'd have one last stab at helping.
So Elliot, as you leave this forum, you should ask yourself whether the problem was that everybody here are just nasty pieces of work, or whether the problem lies closer to home.
Have a good life. _________________ Rob

I guess you never gave up trying to hurt my efforts to accomplish something.
My sincere thanks and gratitude to Mark, Whompus, and Greg, who showed a lot more tolerance than you and the Capn were capable of.
Have fun playing in your sandbox.... |
