Have bought before.
Thanks Rob..
Hi George, I look forward to receiving your next order.
jbonham wrote:I am ready for a parrallel jp1 cable but not sure how this works. Should I just send the money via paypal and then you send the cable? Do I need to make some kind of formal request or did I just do that...?
I only sell cables with remotes, I don't sell them by themselves. You can buy cables by themselves from one of the JP1 vendors.

I have just moved the URC-9960 Kameleon back into the "in stock" column as a new shipment just arrived. I haven't modified them yet but I will get some of them modified over the weekend, so they'll be ready for shipping Monday if I get any orders.

I've already received more URC-6131 and URC-6131n remotes, as I was running very low on those.

The URC-9910 is still out of stock, but I expect to get a few more of those on Wednesday.

To start with I have ordered a unit from Rob and I am greatly appreciative of his work here as well as for providing the remotes at a great price.

I probably wasn't as straight forward in the previous correspondence as I should have been. I read through the postings and I wasn't sure if Rob was still selling these. The quoted posting (shown below) is from the first page of this thread and indicates that Rob is no longer interested in selling the 9960's. This led me to question the current sales status of the remotes and thus the previous post by myself (admittedly a bit vague). It appears that he is still modifying and selling these. However, the previous posting indicating to simply read the first page in no way helped me understand the current status of purchasing the remote.

{{Bucky wrote:
Rob, Do you have any plans to make any more modified 9960's (with the JP1 installed) available for sale?

Not really. The demand for the Kameleon is very slow, and the ebay price for them has falled through the floor, so there's just no margin in it.

If you want one, I can ask OFA to include one of them in my next order.}}

Suffice to say that the first post in this thread is constantly updated, so it's quite possible that my position on a certain remote has changed a few times since 2003 when this thread started.

Therefore, regardless of what I may have said in later posts, if a remote is listed as available in the 1st post, it means that I have it.

I understand your confusion, and apologize if I contributed to it, but I refered you to the first post because:
(1) I knew (from experience) that Rob keeps that first post updated. I grant that YOU would have no way of magically knowing this except for...
(2) The last line of that post which gets updated every time Rob updates the list and says (as of today)

Apparently, you missed that detail. Sorry.

6131 vs 6131n?

Post by mostro »

Rob, I am thinking of getting a 6131 or 6131n. What are the differences between these two and how do they compare to each other? I think the 6131 is a little bit heavier and use 2xAA batteries while the lighter 6131n uses 2xAAA? How are their battery life? Can you recommend one over the other?

Do we need to send you an email prior to ordering or simply send a paypal payment with notes describing what we want to buy?

Thanks.

From a software point of view, the two remotes are identical, the differences are just physical. o take a look at them and if you prefer the layout of one over the other, go for it.

You are correct about which batteries each of them uses, so I would imagine that the 6131n has a shorter battery life, but I don't know this for sure.

Personally, I prefer the older model.

Hey Robman. I just sent you some money for the 9960(mod) at 8:47am CST on Feb 18, 2006.

I mentioned in the comments that I would also be interested in the 6960 if there is an extender for it. Let me know if you don't mind.

Thanks a million!

Rob's Remotes for sale

Post by rigood »

to the Robman

Rob,

I placed an order for 1 URC-8910 and 1 USB cable a couple of weeks ago using paypal and was notified that the tranfer was complete on the 8th, and then noticed you would not be available until the 17th. Just wondering when the ship date might be as I am anxious to get started.

Thank you,
Rick

As my notice said, I was on vacation until Friday (the 17th), so it was physically impossible for me to fill any orders during that time. It is my intention to fill all the orders that I received while I was away today, but as there's no post tomorrow I won't be able to mail them until Tuesday morning.

Rob,

First of all and most importantly, thank you to you and all the others for all the work you've done figuring all this out and creating a great site and community... also for providing me with a cool new hobby. I've been playing around a bit and am having a great time learning and getting things going (I've also got a bunch of extra batteries now that I can but a bunch of the OEM remotes in the drawer).

I am interested in getting two of the 8811 remotes and have sent you what I believe is the correct amount via PayPal. Please let me know if I have missed anything.

Thanks again, way cool stuff.
