I have read the JP1 beginners tutorial for using IR and RM at:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/jp1/help/rm.shtml
And I have had some success doing things. But I need help with getting a Proton 613S TV's VOL+, VOL-, Mute, and Power functions assigned to the corresponding buttons on a ReplayTV 5000 remote.
I have learned the signals into a URC-7800 Cinema 7 remote and with IR can see, for instance the following for volume up:
TV: VOL+, Protocol pid-0013, OBC 51
These are the only values shown, nothing else like Device, Sub-Device, Hex Cmd, EFC, etc., is listed.
When I go to RM, the first problem I run into is choosing the correct protocol. I think I should use "pid: 00 13". Is this correct?
I thought this should be correct, but I don't know what to enter on the Setup tab for the Protocol Parameters such as the value for Device 0. Also, if I then goto the Functions tab, I only see entries for EFC, Byte 0, and Hex. There is not an OBC field which I can input the value of 51.
What am I doing wrong? Should I have chose a different Protocol? Please help! Thanks...
Proton 613S TV (protocol id: 0013)

From looking at devices.xls I see that pid 0013 is device 1 on all I see. So I would think device0 will be 1.
With that in mind try these efc
vol+ 155
vol- 153
mute 027

Re: Proton 613S TV on ReplayTV 5000 Remote
That's an interesting decode. Could you post your learned IR file in the diagnosis area and a link to it? Maybe that's all decodeIR will give you, but I'm curious just the same.fonz wrote: I have learned the signals into a URC-7800 Cinema 7 remote and with IR can see, for instance the following for volume up:

The proton TV in the upgrade section use Proton protocol 00 5C device 17, while Proton HDTVs use Audiovax protocol 00 5D device 3.

whompus, thanks for the EFC codes, but they didn't work.
Capn Trips, here is the link for the file:

BTW, this is an old TV, probably 15 years. But it's a great set that I use for video editing. It is probably a commercial/medical type monitor as it has all kinds of video and aux inputs.
Thanks! Any help is appreciated.

There are several TV codes in the R5k remote that use p-id $0013. I tried learning the buttons from one of them and they seem to match the ones that you learned.
So, try any of these TV codes (they should all be the same):
0032
0039
0281
0317
0386
0409
0415
The following codes use the $0013 protocol, but some of the buttons are different:
0149
0175
