I did some more digging and I found all the codes I need! I can confirm that the codes listed below for sivd1, svid2, componet1 & componet2 all work. I can also confirm that the codes listed as "svid3", "component3", av1, av2 & av3 all result in my TV telling me "no input connected", which means they correspond to selecting one of the video inputs. I found these over on the avs forums -- thought I'd post it here in case it is useful for others!

Thanks to everyone for all the help you provided me -- it is appreciated!

These codes were posted by “collinp” at avsforum -- you can read the entire posting at

I own a HLP5063. It's firmware version is T_ATLNUS_1035. Below are the OFA remote codes I discovered in an exhaustive search of the 0060 device space. This search was performed only once so I could certainly have missed some codes.

These codes are for the OFA or Radio Shack programmable remote controls. These are inexpensive remote controls that have the ability to send all possible codes in the both of the major IR encoding schemes. This can be very handy for teaching esoteric commands to more "powerful" remote controls.

To use these codes :

- You set the device code for an input. This is documented in the user manual. The Samsung DLPs respond to device code 0060.

- Choose the newly configured input.

- Press the "P" button and then type the code. For instance to send the HDMI discrete you would type P, 0, 6, 7

- Note from Marc: For some of the Radio Shack remote controls, like the 2142, you need to enter the advanced code as a 5-digit number by pre-pending two 0's in front of the 3-digit codes listed below.

Device Code 0060:

Capn Trips, it was very nice of you to take the time to turn that data into a file that can be used with the JP1 tools.
