Perhaps the paragraph is too large and confusing. Here is a simpler version. Give more information and you have a better chance of getting a good answer.

Use of this template is MANDATORY for code search questions.

JP1 user? (ie, do you have a JP1 cable)
Still have original remote? (yes/no)
Checked the file section? (no or link to file(s))
Checked the Pronto file section (at R/C)? (no or link to file(s))
Partially working setup code? (no or setup code)
Learning remote question? (no or explanation)

I am presuming (based on your location) that english is not your first language, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt (and a Christmas present  )and try to help you start the template that makes it easier to help you:

1. Device: AMSTRAD DVD/VCR combo (what is the model number?)
2. Type of device: DVD/VCR combo
3. Year: ???
4. JP1 Remote model: URC 7560
5. JP1 user? UNKNOWN
6. Still have original remote? ???
7. Checked the file section? ??? (Although I have checked and found no applicable upgrade(s))
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)?
9. Partially working setup code? ???
10. Learning remote question? YES, your 7560 IS a learning remote!

First, I would try the codes from the manual or the OFA website. Although no Amstrad DVD players are listed, it lists VCR 0000, 0072, and 0278 as Amstrad VCR codes. Have you tried these? What were the results?

Second, (I don't know whether you have your original equipment remote control, but if you do) the simplest solution is to learn the signals, decode them with IR and build your own upgrade using the tools here.

Third, if you do NOT have the OEM remote, you can try if any of the Amstrad DVD or VCR online modem upgrades will work your device. From the main page, select Product Support/Universal Remote Controls/One-for-All 6 (your model)/Internet Download. You will have to first register, but thereafter you will have access to internet modem downloads of many different upgrades. There are several Amstrad DVD and VCR upgrades you can retrieve via this method to test.

If you are more fluent in German rather than English, then try the german OFA website.

1. Select protocol = NEC1
2. Enter device code = 0
3. Leave sub-device blank
4. Enter functions on Functions sheet using either OBCs or EFCs
