Sirius XACT tuner

Post by smalis »

I have uploaded an IR file for decoding. It is a collection of learned signals from my Sirius XACT tuner remote. All the functions are seen by IR as Raw Signal Information, with DecodeIR 2.29. The functions are as follows:

Button - Function

Guide - Power
Up - Up
Down - Down
Left - Left
Right - Right
Select - Select
1 - 1 (pre-set)
2 - 2 (pre-set)
3 - 3 (pre-set)
Vol Up - Vol Up
Vol Down - Vol Down
Mute - Mute
Menu - Menu
Info - Display
Enter - Band
4 - P-Tune
5 - Memo
6 - S-Seek

The url is http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=2550

Thanks for any and all assistance!

Do these learned signals actually work? It looks like all you've done is capture the tail end of an NEC1 signal.

Check out the following thread to see if you're using the right learning procedure.

In fact, the learned signals don't work, and I thought the lack of decoding might be the problem. With my RS-2116, I put in into learning mode, aligh the two remotes, press and hold the function button on the XACT remote and press and release the learning button on the RS-2116. I continue to hold down the function button on the XACT remote until I get the SUCCESS prompt on the LDC. Works for all my other devices, but not this XACT remote.

That is precisely incorrect.

You press and release the learning button on the 2116 FIRST, THEN press and hold the button you wish the 2116 to learn on your XACT remote untili you get "SUCCESS".

I refer you to THE CORRECT LEARNING PROCEDURE sticky post, which although specifically for non-LCD display remotes, is, in principle, the same once you get to that point.
