Given a code set, look up the protocol, device number(s), subdevice number(s) and command numbers.
I need to look this device number, subdevice number and command number information up.If I get stuck, I hope I can come back for a clearer indication of what they are

.
The irda chips come in basically 2 versions: SIR and FIR. The FIR ones are easier to use for remote control applications. Just that all the IR programs I have seen are running on Linux.
The Clipsal unit comes with a library of 200 codes. I am playing about with their library at the moment in order to get the hang of things. Surprisingly, there appears to be no user groups for this Clipsal range ( C-BUS2).
The CCF,EFC, HEX etc file formats are confusing to me

. I wonder if there is a simple converter out there that can convert from anyone format into another one. Life would then be so much easier for me.
I have writen a number of operating systems for budget handsets(for which I got paid) ( and OFA has soon afterwards added similar functions to their handsets, so they must have infringed my intellectual copyrights..)), but left the codes etc to others. Now I want to get into coding as well.
ADDENDUM: I have a huge list of codes for various handsets. The TV codes don't have the UK TEXT functions, but not everyone would be interested in that. If there is interest in my code database, I shall try to put it together in a form that I can upload. (And yes, I am a URC engineer, but not a very good one

)
