Post by lowspeed »

re: http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3943

After you learn IR's is it possible to convert them to a device ?

Can you direct me to a tutorial ?

Thanks!

Yeah, look at the bold highlighted in red link in Rob's signature directly above your post. Section 6 describes precisely what you ask.

Those are only "weird" looking because support for the Lutron protocol hasn't been added to DecodeIR yet. If this is a learning exercise, chose a different remote to learn from and follow the tutorials. If your end goal is simply to add an upgrade for your Lutron, why don't you use an upgrade from the file section, like this one...

Robman thanks for moving the thread...

I tired all the upgrades related to lutron from the file section they only had 2 of my scenes. What i did at the end is learn the IR's from the IR blaster inside the wall socket.

Specificlly i have the wall remote (the one on the right) and the switches/dimmers of course..

Does your Lutron file contain all the buttons from the original remote, and if so, do they all work?

Could you please list what each learned button actually does.

I assume that all the learns actually work, right? When I get a chance, I will decode the signals by hand and tell you what OBCs to use for your upgrade.

In the meantime, I would recommend that you re-try the upgrade that I linked you to. This is a ip file containing several different versions of the Lutron upgrade, you should use the first one and then try all the buttons.

My guess is all of your functions are in there, but not necessarily on the buttons that you would expect.

I have decoded your learns and have confirmed that they match the standard Lutron signals. If you load up the upgrade that I mentioned, here's how the functions in the upgrade should compare to your signals:

Upgrade --> Your learns
Scene 1 = Scene 1
Scene 2 = Scene 2
Scene 3 = Scene 3
Scene 4 = Scene 4
Scene 5 = All On
Scene Off = All Off
Master Lower = Dim
Master Raise = Brighten

So now, tell me what happened when you tried the upgrade that I mentioned?

Just FYI, I have added a bunch more Lutron upgrades to the file section, so there is a file specifically for your Spacer now.
