Post by gfb107 »

I've built and released RemoteMaster v0.77

Changes for v0.77

- Change default value for AdvCodeUpgrade to HEX (fixes problem introduced with support for new keymove format)

Release Notes and Change Log (also included in the ZIP file)
Installation Instructions (also in the Readme.txt included in the ZIP file)

Installation Instructions wrote:File Associations
RemoteMaster now suports file associations in Windows. To setup the file associations follow these steps:

Double-click Setup.jar
Double-click Setup.reg
Click Yes.
Click OK.
Now you can open a Remote Master Device Upgrade file by simply double-clicking on any file with a .rmdu (or .km) extension.
I see the setup.jar file, but I cannot find the setup.reg file, am I missing something?

ahha, thank you! I was just double clicking on the setup.jar file. Silly me. After running it from a dos box with -jar it created the .reg file.

Is there a way to run ".jar" files, such as remotemaster.jar, by double clicking on them? or is the appropriate thing to use the rmaster.bat file ?

When you installed Java, it should have created file associattions so that double-clicking a .jar file would automatically run them. Did you use the standard install options, or did you change them?
