Problems with paralel interface on URC9960

Post by belgianguy36 »

HI,

I'm having troubles to communicate with my remote via a parallel interface. If I try to download from my remote, IR keeps telling me that there is no signature for my remote, but I do have the latest RDF file installed and the KASAKASO signature is present.

I already tried to lower the battery voltage by using a dummy battery so that i've got 4,5V battery power, but I still have the same problem.

I have a URC9960-B01 so normally this shouldn't be a problem. I tried to work via my laptop and desktop pc but always get the same problem.

The interface check gives no problem.

I seems that it was possible to download RAW data and after I tried to download, the red led came on two times. If the remote is connected to the interface, I can not operate the remote control.

I hope some of you guys know what the problem is.

Did you set the RDF directory in IR? It's under the File menu
File -> Set Directory -> RDF Path...

Yes I did. When I launched IR for the very first time, the download went very good and I was able to store my basic configuration on harddisk, but when I tried it a second time I received the error message.

I even tried to reinstall IR but that didn't changed anything.

Hi,
what type of parallel cabel do you use? Simle or Ultra?

I've the same problem with my URC9960BJ5 and parallel simple cable.
