Is it possible to temporarily change the function of the channel up / channel down buttons to Page Up / Page Down only when I am in the TV Guide? I've got the remote just the way I want it except for this...

Suggestion:
1)Program a second copy of the 6412 with those buttons changed.
2)Do you have any spare L1-L4 buttons?

Do these remotes have "shift" keys? I forget...

Maybe, but how easy would it be to tell that you've left the TV Guide.

I tried doing something like this for ReplayTV once and while it's not too difficult to make the buttons change when you bring up the Guide, it's alot trickier to identify when you leave the Guide.

I could use one of the L1 thru L4 buttons but they're all the way down at the bottom of the remote - a big stretch for the old thumb...

I guess that remains the question...if you leave the guide how does it know. Someone must have tackled this problem before...

I use the L1..L4 buttons for both Page +/- and Day +/-!

Could the extender be used for a "long" button press that would simulate the Page Up / Page Down? Right now the Up / Down navigation keys if pressed and held fly through the Guide at warp speed - too fast to see anything. If they could be changed that would be great.
