|
|
I have a Sharp LC-37HV4E TV, the remote for this just has a power toggle button. I would like to add discrete power on and off commands in macros for use with the URC 8060 Kameleon remote but I can't find if these exist or not.
Generally the TV uses code 0093 which is for Sharp device 1, however there are some commands from the original remote that use a different device number, for example the aspect ratio key, Sharp device 17.
From this thread http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=858 it appears that there is no discrete power on/off code for the 0093 device. But I was wondering if there were discrete codes for Sharp device 17 (or any other Sharp device for that matter) which my TV would respond to. In reading the links to the above thread, I noted that there appear to be codes which do things like reset the TVs EPROM, so I'm a little reluctant to go ploughing through all the codes without asking first.

Here are the commands for the Auos. There are two lists floating around and the second has special charactrers in the labels but it will give you a starting point. I believe they are the "official" commands from Sharp, the three digit numbers are OBC's so select "use OBC" when you do your device upgrade:

Thansk very much Jon, where did you find those codes so quickly, I've been searching the net all day and could not find anything. The Power On and Power Off codes work fine.
I think I can add another code to the list:
Sharp:17:200 = Aspect Ratio

Richard,
A professional AV installer sent me the first group of commands and the second was posted here recently and I had converted it to Pronto hex http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-custom/thread.cgi?2176
BTW, please post your upgrade to the JP1 Yahoo files|devices|TV and be sure to add your new command. _________________ -Jon |

Jon,
I did not actually create a full upgrade file, I just used KM to create the Sharp:17 device upgrade with no keys and then added key moves for Aspect Ratio, Power On and Power Off using EFCs (calculated in KM from the OBCs) of 154, 160 and 156 respectivly in IR. All the other keys that I wanted to use were covered by the 0093 code.
I'm still pretty new to this JP1 stuff, so that might not be the most efficient way to do it, but it worked!

That's the way I would do it. Make sure that www.hifi-remote.com has in the TV_0093 Advanced Code List the other EFC's for device 1.
Also in your upgrade you might just put a list of all commands in the Notes column on the right side of the functions. You can just copy the llist above using "paste special" unicode text. _________________ -Jon |

Can you please send me the upgrade file with the keymoves for discrete on/off? I am new to jp1 and for some reason cannot figure this out. Would really appreciate your assistance. |

In post 28 in this thread, I summarized all known discrete commands for the Aquos series.
All those are in Protocol, device, OBC format. _________________ -Jon |

Thanks. I tried the discrete on / off codes in the list you provided and they seem to do nothing. Do you have any other suggestions?
Looks like my Sharp TV 32UF6 is a TOAD |
