Possible to use pid 0112 with remote master?

Post by Mr.Whipple »

I put together an upgrade for the Grundig 6150 dvd player using Keymap Master but I haven't had any luck loading it with Remote Master. It uses the pid 01 12 (S3C8+) Custom Protocol for DVD/0775. I only have Excel on my old computer and would like to fine tune the remote on my newer one using RM if possible.

PLease provide a link to the KM file you are trying to load and I'll try it out and see what's going on.

The file loads great and everything works as it should when I copy into IR. However, if I change anything like move a key and save the .rmdu file, I'm unable to load the new file next time I use RM. I get a file load error...

No protocol found with name "manual", ID=01 12, and variantName=""

Inside the .rmdu file, the protocol name should be Manual. I don't know how it could get saved as manual. When I make a change and re-save it, it gets saved as Manual. What version of RM are you using? The current version is 1.12

I'm using version 1.12 too. I just tried it again and it does say "Manual" in the error. I guess I didn't capitalize when transcribing the message. The error occurs when I re-save, close RM and then try to reload the file. Strange thing is it works ok if I load yours first then load the resaved file without closing RM in between.

In looking at the two files I noticed the only difference is yours has "Manual Settings" whereas the resaved file contains just "Manual" for protocol name.

Works great. I've added the finished tweaked upgrade to the DVD section. Thanks for your help!
